Steve James - Texas

James plays a National steel guitar, mandolin, and the banjo, having become fixated, as an adolescent, on blues music. As a teenager in New York City, James listened to his father's record collection, which included recordings from Lead Belly, Josh White, and Meade "Lux" Lewis. Following relocation to Tennessee, he met both Sam McGee and Furry Lewis. In 1977, he moved to San Antonio, Texas, and played along with various musicians including Bo Diddley, John P. Hammond and Dave Van Ronk.

Otis Gibbs - Indiana

Otis Gibbs is a man in search of an honest experience.  Some people refer to him as a folk artist, but that is a simplistic way to describe a man who has planted over 7,000 trees, slept in hobo jungles, walked with nomadic shepherds in the Carpathian Mountains, been strip-searched by dirty cops in Detroit, and has an FBI file.

Please visit Otis Gibbs website or join him on twitter for more information

Otis Taylor - Chicago / denver

Blues singer/guitarist/banjoist Otis Taylor is drawing from history's deep well for his new disc, Clovis People (Telarc), which will be released on May 11. The disc's title refers to ancient society whose 13,000-year-old remains were found near his home in Boulder, Colo.

Watermelon Slim (solo) - Oklahoma

Watermelon Slim has built a remarkable reputation with his raw, impassioned intensity He's one hell of a bottleneck guitarist, and he's got that cry in his voice that only the greatest singers in the genre have had before him.

Please visit Watermelon Slim website or Myspace for more information
