 What The Papers Say

A briliant festival, throughly recommended

The Support for the festival is visible throughout the town and overall the atmosphere was as friendly as you would image Ireland to be. All the visitors and locals were having a great time watching and dancing to the bands. The acoustic gigs in the Market House was a great success, with shows being sold out on both Saturday and Sunday and the head-liners in the late night Marque were very well supported. It's a briliant festival, throughly recommended and definitely on my list of annual events I visit every year.

THE “20th Edition” of Monaghan’s Harvest Time Blues festival was another runaway success, with good crowds turning up to support the events at all levels in what has a become a firmly-embedded annual event that Monaghan can rightly be proud of promoting and sustaining over the years.

The sheer class and quality of the artists who entertained the punters was again evident from the word go, and even the weather refrained from raining on the parade as locals and visitors alike were treated to one great full-house show after another at the Late Night Marquee, Market House Acoustic Room and on the Blues Trail venues provided by Seamie McKenna’s, the Westenra, Terry’s, the Squealing Pig and the Shamrock Bar.
